Mark L. Johnson is the Co-Founder and CEO of SCLM Commercial Real Estate & Development Group, a leading national real estate firm focused on the growth of U.S. middle-market companies in supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing. With over 30 years of experience, Mark is a seasoned business leader adept at motivating teams, developing innovative products and services, entering new markets, and driving customer growth.

Mark’s career began as a driver in a small courier company, progressing to senior executive roles in both domestic and global organizations, spanning private and public sectors. His expertise covers operations, solutions design, sales and marketing, training and organizational development, and executive leadership. Mark’s teams have supported clients across diverse industries, including energy (carbon-based and renewable), chemical, industrial, mining, healthcare/pharma, technology, consumer goods, financial services, and food and beverage.

Mark and his teams have developed solutions involving warehousing, light manufacturing, materials management, procurement, and multi-modal transportation. They have leased and managed over 12 million square feet of conventional, high-density, and hazmat warehousing in 18 countries, procured hundreds of millions in products and services, including ~$500 million of annual freight spend across all modes.

Mark is passionate about the middle market, where his career began and to which he frequently returns. Middle-market leaders face challenges with more constrained resources than large enterprises and less government support than small businesses, leaving little room for error. Solving these challenges has been the central theme of Mark’s career and the driving force behind SCLM Commercial Real Estate & Development Group. The company is dedicated to supporting the growth of middle-market supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing companies through exceptional real estate solutions. Mark resides in The Woodlands, Texas, with his wife, Elisabeth. He enjoys time with his extended family, traveling, food, reading, art, and golf.
