Beginning her career as a Chemical Engineer, she started in the energy sector with a focus on facilities design before advancing to Strategic Planning for a major oil and gas company. Cheryl later transitioned into private consulting, where she worked nationally with communities, Fortune 500 companies, and state and local economic development organizations. Her expertise includes conducting economic feasibility studies, developing conceptual plans, recruiting industries, and securing funding for public-private partnerships.

Cheryl has significant experience in the recruitment and development of light and heavy industrial manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing sites. Her work often centers on rail-served industrial locations, including private and public ports, intermodal facilities, and economic development mega-sites. Additionally, Cheryl is well-versed in the RFP process and has an in-depth understanding of state and local statutory and discretionary incentive programs for development projects.
