John D. Merrill is Co-Founder and Chief Development & Investment Officer of SCLM™ Companies, a growth enablement platform that helps middle-market companies accelerate expansion, optimize operations, and execute complex strategic initiatives across supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, and industrial sectors.

With more than 30 years of experience advising companies, investors, and development stakeholders, John is a seasoned executive recognized for his ability to assemble and lead multidisciplinary teams that align strategy, capital, infrastructure, and execution. He leverages extensive industry relationships and deep market knowledge to help organizations navigate growth opportunities, reduce risk, and achieve long-term value creation.

John began his professional career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he developed the financial and analytical foundation that continues to shape his approach to investment and development strategy. His leadership experience includes senior roles with industry-leading organizations including JLL Capital Markets, CBRE, and Duke Realty Investments. He currently serves as National Industrial Division Leader for KW Commercial.

Throughout his career, John has advised clients on industrial location strategy, site selection, development execution, capital procurement, financial underwriting, investment analysis, and portfolio growth initiatives. His experience spans a wide range of industries and asset types, helping organizations make informed decisions that support operational efficiency, business expansion, and sustainable growth.
